Mary Lee Sheldon
Miss Mary Lee began to take dance classes at the age of 4. She received advanced training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tumbling Pointe’, Musical Theater and Voice from top professional teachers at college and across the USA. She has performed with the Gene Loring Dancers of Hollywood, Ca. and in many touring Broadway Musicals. She has danced, sang and acted in “Finians Rainbow”, “Babes In Arms”, ”The Sound Of Music”, “Carousel”, “Oliver”, “She Loves Me”, “Pajama Game, ”Guys & Dolls” “Anything Goes” and “West Side Story”. Mary Lee has worked on the professional stage, in film and TV. She has faithfully continued her dance training during summers with the top dance teaching organizations in the country. Mary Lee’s School of Dance opened in 1974. Mary Lee’s love of dance has touched thousands of students over the years and has lead to many professional dancers and professional teachers. Mary Lee looks forward to seeing all her former dancers and meeting all the new students.
Brandi began dancing in 1986 at the age of 3 right here at Mary Lee’s. Her dance training took her all over the country for many competitions and conventions. Winning first place at Dance Nationals in Las Vegas for a tap solo was her proudest moment. Brandi loves working with all ages and particularly leading the MLSD Competitive Team. She is happy to be teaching at Mary Lee’s for her 10th year and feels like she is home.
Brooke Nagy was a Rockette for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in 2012. She then traveled the world, performing with Stiletto Entertainment on the Holland America Cruise Lines. Most recently, she was a member of the Oklahoma Showgirls and R.A.C.E. Dance Company in Oklahoma City.
She grew up dancing in North Carolina at the Academy of Dance and Fine Arts and trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, modern, gymnastics, and musical theatre. One of her first auditions was in high school where she booked the gig performing at the Charlotte Philharmonic Christmas Spectacular at the Blumenthal Theatre in NC. She continued her training in Oklahoma City, where she graduated with her Bachelors in Performing Arts at Oklahoma City University. She was a dancer and line captain for the Christmas and spring productions with the Oklahoma City University American Spirit Dance Company. While in college, she had the opportunity to perform at the Oklahoma City Centennial next to stars such as Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, as well as a celebration for Sandra Day O’Connor. Right after graduation, Brooke danced in a film, directed by Nick Cassavetes, and was in several local commercials in Oklahoma City. Throughout her experiences she has continued to teach students, and loves sharing her passion of dance!
Tracey has been a dancer for 42 years. She began her dance at the age of 8 with Miss Mary Lee. She has studied dance all over the US including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, Oklahoma, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Myrtle Beach and Gatlinburg. Tracey has a magic way with the students and they all adore her. Tracey is so happy to be part of Mary Lee’s professional teaching staff at Mary Lee’s School of Dance.
